I'm not in a position to negotiate but I think 48 hours a week is unreasonable given the amount I get paid.

Am I the asshole for thinking this?

But you do what you do because you have to support the family I live in a province that squeezes so hard even if you make $30/hour you still might have to live in your car Because at that rate still 70% of your income would goto housing.

I don't care about fans followers or integrity, I'm ready to sell out now, you can't help but only care about that money when keeping a roof over your head costs so much You got 500sq/ft apartments turned into hostels with 6 people living in them, sub lease on sub lease on sublease because ends can't be made. You got living rooms with dividers in them being rented as "2 bedrooms". People sleep in dens balconies and closets. What the hell kind of life is this? There is no end in sight.

The machine that brought us here is still going strong and won't quit. Like the energizer bunny of inflated costs. And all the country can do is sit back and watch this train wreck and say "wow". But the pockets get lined and the people who could do something don't. You have to be selfish, cold and unfriendly. You have to step on the backs of others just to reach out for breath because we're all drowning if we're all still actually here.
